In response to Ray Smith's note in the MMD looking for Ampico Rolls,
here is something he might consider.  I work with Larry Broadmoore on
the PowerRoll, the 'electronic' music roll.  We now have 450 Ampico
roll scans available.  With the PowerRoll, these scans will play on
your Ampico with all of the expression of a 'regular' paper Ampico
expression roll.  Many people say that your piano actually plays better
with the PowerRoll than with a paper roll.

If you were to purchase 450 Ampico roll recuts, they would generally
sell for $15 to $20 each, These 450 rolls could cost as much as $9000!

The 450 Roll Scans are currently selling to for $59.50 on CD ROM to
PowerRoll customers only.  With the PowerRoll at $1495.00 connected to
your computer, you save about $7500 over purchasing the same tunes on
paper.  Also, your piano will now be able to play any other MIDI file,
as well as any paper rolls that you have.

Last month, at the AMICA convention in Niagara Falls, I met a gentleman
from the UK who had spent several thousand dollars on Ampico rolls in
the past year for his instrument.  He was wishing he knew about the
PowerRoll sooner!  He would have purchased a PowerRoll and would not
have spent all that money on rolls.
