Hi All, If you haven't seen it, check this site for info on Dentzel
Carrousels:
http://www.dentzel.com/
The pages have an on-line carving instruction manual -- I like the
carving bench plans . They have plans and equipment for building
carrousels that can be powered by a person pedaling, and for the band
organ collector how about a single galloper to ride while the music
plays. Usual disclaimer: I don't have anything to do with Dentzel
other than enjoying the site and the carving instructions.
I stumbled across this site while searching for MIDI information:
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/manivelles/Mid2car.htm
The web page is in French, but it has a demo of a program to read a
MIDI file and print out a page (or pages) with lines for pinning the
barrel. I haven't had much time to try it yet, but it may be worth a
look.
[ You found a "captive mirror", Mickey. The real site is operated
[ by our new MMDer, Lionel Van Aertryck; the English version is at

Also, for links with barrel organ pictures and some interesting music,
check the link pages at
