Dear friends, I wish to thank Karl Ellison for writing such a complete
review of our Convention. I have been quite busy with follow-up
activities and I still must write an article for the AMICA Bulletin.
The photos which are attached to Karl's article are quite good.
Only one small comment on a wonderfully composed review:
Niagara-On-the-Lake is in Canada, and not New York State.
Thanks, Karl, for the review. I appreciate it!
Concerning the Butterfly paperweights, The Butterfly Conservatory has
nothing to do with the butterflies which appear in their gift shop, or
those that were in the souvenir paperweights (other than ordering them
from a manufacturer in Northern Ontario).
The butterflies which were in the conservatory are much more decorative
and, I would say, much more rare, than the Monarch Butterflies which
were in the paperweights. The company which produced the paperweights
purchases butterflies after their natural life span is over. The
Butterfly Conservatory tries to protect it's "collection" by encourag-
ing visitors to photograph, but not touch their flying friends.
If you wish to contact Tarax Infinity about their paperweights, their
telephone number is on the bottom of the paperweight.
Thanks,
Mike Walter
