Jack, I understand your reasonable concerns and reproduce below a copy
of our guarantee, which protects customers from risks of the kind which
concern you. If you feel that it is inadequate, please let me know and
we will adjust it according to any reasonable suggestions until you
feel secure enough to purchase the product.
Having done restoration work for you for many years, you know I have
been in business a long time (since 1979 in the same location) and that
I do not charge for follow-ups on work I have previously done for you.
My policy with PowerRoll will be the same; I plan to take the best
possible care of all of my customers.
As for reliability, my own experience is of having run the PowerRoll
nearly every day, all day long, for several months. The electro-
magnetic valves, which are incredibly responsive, continue to repeat
perfectly and have never failed even once, in all of that time. Robbie
was impressed by how little heat was given off by the unit after much
playing.
So all I can say is, "so far, so good"! We know of no problems with
the PowerRoll; the only things we are working on are finding ways to
build it faster, without compromising its high quality.
(From the PowerRoll information packet) "Our Introductory Guarantee"
"Until September 15, 1998, in addition to our regular five-year
unconditional guarantee on all parts, materials and labor in every
PowerRoll (tm), we will upgrade or replace at our expense (including
shipping & handling) any PowerRoll unit, for a period of two (2)
years from date of purchase, in the event that the customer prefers any
PowerRoll model of the same basic type offered in that time period
which is changed or redesigned in any way."
