Dr. Ted's Musical Museum
By Ron Bopp

Dr. Ted's Musical Museum is a delightful small museum of mechanical
music near Santa Claus, Indiana. Owned and operated by Ted and Mary
Kay Walfart it is a perfect collection of larger musical instruments.

It includes a nicely playing Weber Grandezza; a perfect and original
Wurlitzer 153 military band organ; a very Frenchy sounding 49-key
Limonaire and other well-playing and well-displayed units. It is worth
the trip.

The Mid-American Chapter of the MBSI has had a couple of meetings in
the area and the highlight has always been the trip to Ted and Mary
Kay's museum.

Ron Bopp

P.S. When there, ask to hear "Grandfather's Polka" on the Limonaire.
He copied that from an original book I had and it is a very, very good
demonstration piece of that machine!
