A-roll Tracker Bar Scale
By Lee Roan

Responding to Bill Masterman's question on "A" roll tracker bar hole
assignments, the following appears in "Rebuilding the Player Piano" by
Larry Givens (book borrowed from Geo. McClellan):

  Hole 1...Soft pedal
  Hole 2...Sustaining pedal
  Hole 3...Rewind to play
  Hole 4...Lowest playing note
  Hole 61..Highest playing note
  Hole 62..Additional instrument on
  Hole 63..Rewind
  Hole 64..Mandolin on
  Hole 65..Shutoff

I am not sure if there is a standard for actual note assignments for
holes 4 through 61, but will check my instrument (Simplex Player) and
let you know, if this info is important for your application. Maybe
Robbie knows ???

Lee Roan <LROAN2@aol.com>

[ When correctly tubed the lowest playing note is 36C (MIDI notation),
[ two octaves below Middle C (60C). The span is 58 playing notes,
 [ the highest being 93A. -- Robbie
