Duo-Art Accordion Pneumatics
By Randy Blake

I'm knee deep into the restoration of my Aeolian Duo-Art upright and am
ready to re-cover the accordion pneumatics. I was unable to find any
reference as to what type of material to use in A. Reblitz's book. The
Vestal Press Technical Series No. 5 by Michael Kitner recommends
pneumatic cloth instead of pouch leather. My piano tech tells me that
pouch leather will allow faster operation which is needed for the proper
operation of the accordion pneumatics.

Does anyone know the pros and cons of the two materials?

Thanks.
