Steam Calliope in Italy
By Giovanni Zanin, forwarded

While Jody is in New Orleans on business, and also (hopefully) visiting
MMDer Don Elbers, we have been corresponding with several technically-
minded MMDers concerning "Steam Calliope Theory and Engineering".

Organ-builder Giovanni Zanin, in Codroipo (UD), Italy, sent me this
cute note today. Photos of his Bruder barrel organ appear at the MMD
Pictures site. Any ideas for his visit to see the Lake George
Steamboat?

 Subject: from Italy

Dear Robbie, how are you? Is long time we don't write. I stay
good, and we have a lot of new [work] and restorations of organ pipes.
The calliope don't work and we exchange the boiler with a big blower
(is better because no is hot).

Many thank for the long e-mail, for me is very difficult for the
language. In 28 of this month (June) I stay in New York, and I want
to visit the Aeolian-Skinner organ, the big organ of NY City. Then
I go to Buffalo. In this trip I want if is possible to visit the ship
of the Lake George, because I think they have a steam Calliope. Are
in the area any interesting Friend's ? I wait your notice.

Sincerely Giovanni
