Hi everybody and especially Bill Shirley. Bill, if you decide to leave
your 65-note pushup as it is and expand your singularly small roll
collection you could try subscribing to Frances Broadway's Post-Bid
Enterprise postal auction, which she runs from the London suburb of
Stoke Newington. She issues a list three or four times a year and it
always includes a couple of hundred 65-note rolls. My guess is that
most of them go for around one English pound, on top of which you would
have to pay mailing costs.
I've been playing my 65-note pushup quite a bit recently and really
enjoying the Meloto 65-note Dance Rolls, produced by Aeolian (UK)
during the 1930's. They are short but snappy.
I'll bet that Laguna Rolls, near Bournemouth on the south coast of the
UK, has heaps of 65-note rolls too. I'm pretty sure that both of these
dealers, and other sources of 65-note rolls, are on MMD's list of
dealers, but if you can't find them Bill, and want to pursue this,
email me directly and I'll look up their addresses.
John Phillips in Hobart, Tasmania.
