I get a lot of people asking questions at my web site and most of the
time I either answer the question, or point them in the direction of
another web site (Player-Care) if I feel as though I'm not able to
give a good answer.
Below you will find a message sent to me yesterday and I have per-
mission to re-print it here for you. I thought some of you might be
very interested in this piano if it is the real thing.

I have a Concert Grand Steinway which is an 1875 vintage (manufacture
start year 1866). This Piano was completed in November 1875 For the
Philadelphia Expo Centennial Celebration of the United States. It was
one of only two ever made (one being a backup, perhaps). It is made
entirely of extinct rosewood and has 88 keys with the bass strings over
the treble with an all wood action, and also, according to Steinway, was
the last completed piano overseen by John Steinway himself before he
died. It has so much incredible history I could go on quite a while!
I have just finished getting a full complete restoration and would like
to know how to go about establishing a value for it and details on
marketing such a piece to an individual who can not only afford such an
item but perhaps could enjoy it's priceless sound as well! Please let
me know of your thoughts on this. Thanks For Your Time.
