G'day again, I'm now back on the air and can play MIDI and audio
files at last and I'm quite impressed with the results (heard George
Bogatko's great music for the first time). Not everything is 100% yet
but I'm getting there.
I had about 40 digests to get through and am only halfway through.
It seems like real time as I read them in sequence but I have to resist
the temptation to reply.
Thanks to MMD, a number of we far-flung enthusiasts here in Australia
have been able to meet for the first time to see and hear each other's
collections, exchange ideas and rolls (and pianos -- my Stroud Duo-Art
has just travelled 1600 Km to Sydney and is now playing hard for
another MMD member). We are discussing the possibility of holding a
local "convention" and it will involve a lot of travelling as we are
spread rather thinly, but it should be fun.
We had a brief enjoyable visit from a U.S. MMD member, his wife and
another couple recently but there wasn't enough time to discuss
mechanical music between winery visits and restaurants!
I know it has been said many times, but this is certainly a wonderful
medium for linking MM enthusiasts from around the world. Keep up the
good work Jody and Robbie.
For anyone interested, please note my new E-mail address.
