Remember those wonderful, mellow sounds from the merry-go-round at the
county fair when you were a kid? Can you recall the high-pitched notes
of the calliope hurrying you to the circus tent? Or, how about the
music produced by the street organs enticing passersby to drop a coin
in the monkey's tin cup?
You can hear those sounds again as the Mid-America Chapter of MBSI
hosts their 23rd annual Band Organ Rally on July 24th and 25th in
Berrien Springs, Michigan.
This is the granddaddy of them all, and we hope to have over 100 organs
-- band organs, street organs, calliopes, monkey organs, tabletop
organs -- and over 300 registrants. The $59 registration fee covers
5 meals, entrance to the mart, lots of hospitality, and, of course,
having more fun with the *Happiest Music on Earth*. There are also
souvenir premiums -- some free if you bring an organ.
The event is free to the public, so even if you don't register we hope
you'll pop in for a day or two.
For registration applications or additional information, please
contact me.
