Reproduco Piano Pipe Organ Pump
By Stephen Kent Goodman
I'm hoping someone out there can answer the following for me:
On page 252 of the Treasures of Mechanical Music a Reproduco Piano Pipe
Organ is illustrated with a boxed rotary pump, of the type I presume
used to produce both pressure and vacuum.
Was the pump sufficient for the pipes present in the lower section,
or was an external turbine used as well?
Was a turbine used when pedal Bourdons were present behind the case?
I would imagine it would have to be.
Thanks in advance for the help.
By the way, I noticed that George Bogatko's new A-roll will soon be
available. I have had the pleasure of hearing several of the files
being used to produce the roll and would encourage anyone who can use
an A-roll to purchase this one from George. It's well worth the money!!
Cheers,
Stephen Goodman
