I'm only able to speak for myself, and the answer is clearly
"entertainment and enlightenment." I love the breadth *and* depth
of discussions here. For instance, Bob Conant wrote:

Where else could I ever learn this stuff? I want to try this with my
3-1/2 HP Murray power mower (scale available on request). I suspect
that the only practical way to mount the lawnmower to the instrument's
chassis is vertically; but I'm afraid I can't keep the air filter oil
sump from leaking 30-weight oil down the back of the Mortier. Perhaps
that's what the "room-temperature kangaroo skin pouches" are used for,
which John inquired about. And the exhaust may be as beneficial as
ozone... Just wondering.
