Nostalgia & Auction Hype
By Don Teach

I am one of those fools that pays to much at auctions. Why? Because
I like the music machines better than food. They are there, I usually
have had a month or two to save the money and I knew the collector.
I knew Floyd Miles and was determined to leave that auction with a
memory of him.

At the music auctions I have attended I knew the machines or the
collector and wanted to carry on the memory. Economically not the
best move on my part. I have paid more at auctions and private sales
for machines than I could ever recoup. That is part of the "fever"
that true collectors have in their blood.
