A couple of weeks ago I had the great pleasure of visiting Southern
California. While the basis of the trip had a Grandpa/Grandson
Disneyland focus, I was able to attend a Chapter Meeting of AMICA, and
there confront Jody and Robbie. It surely does make a difference when
one can put a human face to the e-mail names! I want to thank them
both for their hospitality, as well as many other friends -- dear Ben
and Mary Lilien, Frank and Shirley Nix, Ernie and Nancie Loscar and
Mike and Marilyn Ames who made us so welcome. I've come back to this
rather isolated area refreshed and full of grandiose schemes for the
many projects that are under way.
One request -- I took with me parts of several cylinder music boxes
for the attention of Robin Biggins, restorer of choice. We need two
governors, in any condition, for restoration. Can anyone help, please?
One is for an organ box, the other a generic cylinder instrument.
Thanks!
