When the Digest is larger than 20K, AOL converts the email to an
attached file which must be downloaded. It sounds like you are
downloading it okay but just need help on how to read it.
If you are using Windows 3.1, I find it best to go to the "File
Manager", usually under the "Main" group. If you used the defaults
installing AOL, your digest is under the directory "AOL30" (if that is
the version you are running), under the sub-directory "Download".
After clicking on these, you should see the file of the Digest you
want to view. When you click on the MMD file, Windows will
automatically open "Notepad" to view the file. You will also want to
click on "maximize" for ease of reading the file.
If the MMD is over 50kbytes the Notepad will not view it. Then, I usually
use a word processor. You need to set your file type to "ASCII" then
open the file under AOL30, download as noted above. For some reason,
my word processor screws up the line returns and the MMD becomes hard
to read.

If you are using AOL on Windows95, under "Start", you simply go to
"Documents" and double click on the MMD file you want to view.
Let me know if you need any further explanation.
