Jobin Music Boxes
By Joerg Wendel

Hello! Just a short notice regarding Jobin AG.

In Europe, Jobin is a very well-known and serious company which is
specialised in musicboxes. For many years we have purchased musicboxes
from them for our retail shops. As Nancy Fratti and others said
already at this forum, Reuge doesn't deliver movements with more than
36-keys anymore -- you can only buy the complete musicbox from them.

In Europe are some small companies which are specialised in their own
design of musicboxes, and which were equipped with Reuge movements;
this is finished now.

Now Jobin starts to make their own movements, as I have seen in
February already: the first samples are finished in the well-known
Swiss quality.

I think everybody who can, has to help Jobin to set up the production
of the movements. Otherwise the future collectors are only able to
collect Reuge movements in Reuge boxes (and of course some
"highlights", like our own disc musicboxes, birdboxes etc.).

Greetings from the romantic Part of the Rhine.

[ Hauke Marxsen agrees with you, Joerg, and he sent us images of the
[ nice Jobin brochure from 2 or 3 years ago. For now, Jody will place
[ the images in the Archives at

[ Later maybe we will have a small web site with more information.
