Hello, fellow MMD'ers! I would like to wish you all a "vrolijk Pasen"
(vroulek Paahson) from the Netherlands, which stands for "Happy Easter"
in English.
I think we are celebrating this feast much the same as you do: we hide
painted eggs for the children to search, tell them that they were
hidden by the "paashaas" (Eastern Hare?), have a good brunch with many
eggs, and a special celebration in church for the religious amongst the
Dutch.
We only have one typical tradition: on Good Friday in nearly every
town, "St. Matthew's Passion Music" by J.S. Bach is played, either
by professionals or amateurs.
We are now all waiting for the proper Spring to arrive, with lots
of good music from the "draaiorgels"! Cheers!
