George Bogatko's RealAudio file of "Old King Tut" and Jim Canavan's
comments have inspired me go forward on an idea I've been kicking around
for some time.
Since I was eight years old I have collected all types of recorded
media. My main interest has been in humorous, social commentary, and
risque songs, tear-jerkers, etc. The range goes from mid-1700s to
mid-1930s. I have always enjoyed and looked for ways to share all this
with others, and also learn more about what I have.
The WWW gives me an excellent avenue in which to do this. Every two
weeks my page will showcase a selection from my collection of piano
rolls, sheet music and recordings. If anyone has any history or
information to share concerning a particular selection I feature, I
would be grateful. See

I had originally intended to kick this off with a *double entendre*
song from the 1940s; "I Took My Organ To The Party". I already have
"King Tut" by Jones and Hare (the same Blue Amberol that Jim was
referring to) in RealAudio format. We'll do 'Tut' for now and save the
*other* for next time. So please enjoy 'em, collect 'em, trade 'em !
