I can't argue about that 'cos I haven't seen the others, although I
wonder that they saw fit to use the term Marque for a full Ampico.
But you also said:

Well, the Marque Ampico I referred to only had soft base and treble
buttons (plus pedals) for expression, which produced a much inferior
expression control in 88-note mode compared with a Duo-Art or Themodist.
I know where Dean is coming from and I shouldn't have used the term
"not possible" because I was really intending to compare precise
accenting via the "snake bites" (oops, sorry Doug) to the vague,
limited control via the pedals and buttons for un-timed accents. I was
thinking of the split mode on the 1/2 Duo-Art where the operator does
the accents and the roll gives the accompaniment, a very effective
arrangement -- not possible on the Ampico.
