Hi -- of interest to orchestrion builders:
I have recently finished building and bench testing the Dual Pouch
Regulator as described in Craig Brougher's book, Orchestrion Builders'
Manual.
Well, what a magic device! I put it into my orchestrion project last
night, and ran it on the piano stack, I then put a gauge and played
through an entire 'O' roll and the stack pressure remained within 1"
each side of the setting (13"). This was from lots of fast repeating
notes to blank passages. The adjustable crescendo port and soft port
perform their jobs perfectly too, instantly raising or lowering to
preset levels. I am very impressed with it.
Oh well, that's the piano stack, mandolin rail, main regulator and
'O' roll box done and working, only about a thousand bits to go...
