Milhous Auction
By Beatrice Robertson

I will be attending the Milhous Auction and will send a report of
prices and what items sell after the auction. I visited the collection
with the Southeast Chapter of MBSI in February, and many of the pieces
to be sold were on display. There is a wide variety of condition, and
as noted by Lloyd Burton, several reproduction pieces.

I gathered from various conversations that there are reserves on most
items, and suspect that they are quite high, since, as the owner of
some of the pieces told me, "If it sells at that price, good. If it
doesn't sell I'll still have it!"

I have to sympathize with that philosophy, but then, I'm a whole lot
better buyer than seller!
