QRS Recordo Demonstration Roll
By John Phillips

This is a rather late response to Peter Coggins' query in the MMD
of March 8th about demonstration rolls. I got out my QRS Recordo
Demonstration Roll last weekend and played it through. It's a
selection of extracts from various old favorite light classics,
starting off with some of Henselt's "Were I A Bird". It shows quite
effectively what a Recordo can do. My only criticism is that the
various extracts just stop dead; there are no bridging passages.

There is no popular music on the roll, which is shame, because a
Recordo piano really belts out those Pete Wendling and Arden and
Kortlander numbers beautifully, and maybe a good popular demo roll
might have sold a lot more players.
