About eighteen years ago, I embarked on a "journey of insanity", i.e.,
I built my own 44-note cabinet piano from scratch. The Wurlitzer
company in Holly Srings, Mississippi built the piano actions for me; I
did the rest. Most difficult part was the foundry pattern for the
plate, but all was done. I built five of them.
The player stacks were a copy of the Seeburg stacks that used the
wooden upper valve seats, and a company in New England made them for
me, and I think that 5000 was the minimum order. I also had exact
duplicates made of the Nelson-Wiggin tracker bar. The company still
has the fixture for it, which cost over $700.00.
Now the reason for all of that is this. I still have brand new tracker
bars and thousands of valve seats. If you need any of the above, let
me know. I guarantee the price will be lower than you can find
elsewhere.

Those of you who are observant will notice that the piano plate is
a knock-off of the Wurlitzer Pianino plate. The engineers at the
Wurlitzer factory in Holly Springs laughed at that, and Wurlitzer let
me spend five wonderful days in their factory working on all stages
of the assembly line. Wonderful experience.
