Vacuum Cleaners and Tracker Bars
By Spencer Chase

I think there were some conclusions about cleaning tracker bars in the
last round of discussions, but... Anything but an unusual, special
purpose vacuum cleaner develops substantially less vacuum than a hand
operated tracker bar pump. Also, there is not the opportunity for rapid
pulsing of the suction, which may be an advantage in dislodging dirt.

A vacuum cleaner is not likely to cause damage, other than scratching
the tracker bar, but it is not likely to clean the system as well [as a
tracker bar pump].
