This is an addendum to a previous posting regarding "Walking the Baby
Home." It is the same as the current posting on my WWW page if you

Nickelodeon Toe Tappers has been temporarily withdrawn from distribu-
tion while the tape is re-edited to replace certain material with new
material. This re-editing has been prompted by the receipt of informa-
tion from Nan Bostick informing me that the central motif of "Walking
the Baby Home" is the same as that of a currently copyrighted song by
Mr. Daniels, her great uncle. The song, "Chlo-e, Song of the Swamp"
has a first copyright date of 1927.
I have decided to remove "Walking the Baby Home" from the tape. It is
close enough to "Chloe" to be called an arrangement, but I don't want
to be known as merely an arranger.
Having spoken to several people about this, I've come to the conclu-
sion that Ms. Bostick's letter was not adversarial, but rather a kind
warning. I'm afraid I have over-reacted to Ms. Bostick's letter, and
wish to publicly offer her an apology. She meant well, and I took it
wrong. Once again .... open mouth, stick in foot.

[ It's a great performance, George. Maybe a show producer will want
[ to use it for "mood music", and you'll be famous overnight ! :)
