Yesterday, a subscriber to MMD inquired about the availability of audio
CD recordings of reproducing piano rolls.  This note is in response to
that query.

I have been working with Telarc to produce commercially-available
sound recordings of the complete music roll recordings of Rachmaninoff.
There are 35 such rolls in all, with a total playing time just in
excess of two hours.  Telarc will be releasing CDs of these recordings
in July, 1998.

I realize that the release date is still several months off, but I have
every reason to believe that these CDs will be worth waiting for.  With
