Calliope & Polyhymnia
By Allan Merralls

I just couldn't resist mentioning one of the Muses up at the Getty
Museum in Malibu, CA. The building consists of accurate copies of the
very best of ancient Roman buildings.

In a room with a wall made of big translucent marble panels for light,
stands Polyhymnia. She is a young woman leaning against a stump. She
could stand up and walk away. When they get it open after the re-build
and you are in Southern California, go over and see her.

Allan Merralls
