Wolfgang Heisig was seeking the Phonola Vorsetzer in Digest 980116.
I had two of these and just parted with one to my collector friend
Michael Woolf here in NZ. I was wondering if someone could provide
information on the various types.
Both machines looked the same in most details; the biggest difference
was in the roll motor. One had the traditional Hupfeld type round type
bellows assembly, the other has a sliding valve type. This is not a
very good description, but the sliding motor panels are laid flat under
a Celluloid-type cover. Both my machines were sold through an
Australian company in Sydney.
I have some original material issued by the company on this machine;
it is in German and has illustrations, instructions, etc. Some of the
pages are torn so it may not be complete. I can provide copies to
anyone who is interested.

[ That's good news, Rod! Could you please write to Juergen Hocker
[ <juergen.hocker@t-online.de> and describe the German literature to
[ him. I think he can tell you if the brochure is commonly found,
[ or if you have a rarity. How many notes do your Vorsetzers play?
