Bruder "Funeral Director's Organ"
By Wolfgang Brommer

Dear Robbie, next I hope will reach to you the photo of the organ
in Schloss Bruchsal, the museum of Bruchsal. I hope you can use
this. About a photo of the organ here in Waldkirch I must first
ask the owner.

Greetings to all
Wolfgang Brommer
Waldkircher Orgelbau

[ The following translated from German by Robbie: ]

Drehorgel by Ignaz Blasius Bruder
Date : Simonswald, 23 December 1829
Pinned wood-cylinder of 10 melodies
23 keys, 107 pipes in 5 registers
66 x 34 x 55 centimeters
Present Location: Schloss Bruchsal museum

The organ was very early in the possession of a funeral director
(Baehrenfuehrer), who toted it around the countryside on a bier
(a coffin rack), hence the name "Baehrenfuehrer-organ", the
Funeral Director's Organ!

[ Thanks for the photo image, Wolfgang. Jody will place it at
[ the special new web page at http://mmd.foxtail.com/Pictures
[ You may tell the Waldkirch owner that his organ photo will
[ join two other images of beautiful organs ! -- Robbie
