Hi all! In response to Bruce Clark's missive on the Gulbransen
Registering Piano, the Gulbransen people did market their pianos as
pianos that were somehow more closely related to reproducing pianos
because "Gulbransens, compared with a regular 88-note player piano,
were lacking 8 pneumatics" and, as such, had the ability to play
reproducing rolls without having to tape up the last four tracker bar
holes on either end of the tracker. Of course, they stated it more
artfully than I have just done, but the net result is the same.
