Disassembling & Restoring Ampico Valve Blocks
By John A. Tuttle

I am pleased to announce that I have just finished posting another fine
article about rebuilding techniques written by Craig Brougher. This
article covers virtually every aspect of disassembling and restoring
Ampico Valve Blocks including advice about the utilization of microwave
ovens, removing old shellac and purchasing/installing new ball breeds.
This article can be seen at:

    http://www.playercare.com/blockval.html

While you're there, take a few moments and look at some of the other
fine contributions by this master rebuilder/author as well as other
fine articles by Larry Broadmore, Don Teach, L. Douglas Henderson,
Robbie Rhodes, Frank Himpsl, Rob DeLand and Bruce Clark. (I hope I
didn't miss anyone).

PlayerCare is devoted to Player Pianos and Player Piano Technicians
throughout the United States and in every country in the world. As
I've asked many times before, if you know any player piano technicians,
please bring them to my attention. I will personally contact them by
e-mail, by phone or in writing and ask them if they would like a free
listing at PlayerCare.

PlayerCare's primary goal is to serve the General Public for FREE!

And in case there is a question in your mind, let me state for the
record that I do not receive ANYTHING or require ANYTHING from any of
the contributors or technicians listed at PlayerCare.

Musically,
John A. Tuttle (johntuttle@playercare.com)
