Hello all! Well, I finally got some of my file conversion and
transfer problems worked out, and so there are some new files on
the Well-Tempered Disklavier Web Site.
First, there is Bach's BWV971, three movements. Also, two Mozart
pieces, K300 and K331. Last, but not least, we have added another
version of "Flight of the Bumblebee."
All of these new files can be found in the "Classics" subsection of
the "Disklavier Pantry." While I have checked out the downloads, and
everything appears to be OK, let me know if there are any problems.
Also, the deadline for the "Well-Tempered Disklavier First Annual Piano
Competition" has been extended to January 31, 1998. To all of you
entrants out there who felt rushed by the coincidence of the contest
with the Holiday season, my apologies. Now you have another month to
brush up those works, and get them to me. If you have questions,
contest rules and an entry form can be found on the web site.
For those of you who have submitted entries: Be patient, I will be
notifying you that they have been received shortly. Christmas and work
have me pretty backlogged, too.
The usual disclaimer applies here: The Well-Tempered Disklavier site,
and the contest, are NOT affiliated with Yamaha in any way. Don't bug
them with questions regarding the site or the contest. Thanks.
I am still working on my review of Wayne Stahnke's latest disk, and
I'll post a note when it's finished, though I must say I am already
impressed! Nice job, as usual, Wayne.
Thanks to all who have sent music and encouragement! I wish you all
a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
Best Regards,
Jim Hendershot, The Well-Tempered Disklavier
