In Digest 971224 Larry Lobel wrote that he subscribes to MMD for its
mechanical music content, and he asked that off-topic matters be
discontinued, and asked if other members agree or disagree.  I wrote
privately to Larry and complimented his polite letter, and enclosed the
replies received last night.
