Hupfeld Sinfonie Jazz Orchestrion
By Bernt Damm

Hi again. One of my dreams still is to have an orchestrion.

I do have the bottom part of a German Hupfeld Model 9 Sinphonie Jazz
Orchester, but unfortunately I never managed to get a top part for it.
I wonder if anyone can help me here, although I doubt it.

A picture of the missing part of the device can be found on page 434
of the Encyclopedia of Automatic Musical Instruments, bottom middle.
There was a Mr. Hans W. Schmitz in Germany who was involved in the
construction of some replicas for this box, but unfortunately I lost
contact with him long ago. Does anyone else know of such a project or
a sample box I could borrow for a while?

Regards,

Bernt W. Damm
