The free RealAudio files have a number of limitations and the inability
to alter the degree of buffering is one of them. I recently decided
that the authors of RealAudio deserved my support and therefore bought
($29.95) their full program. With it you can increase the degree of
buffering to the point that most things can be heard in their entirety
without those annoying pauses. The program also makes downloading and
permanently storing these files an easy to do proposition.
So --- give them a break. If you like the free version you'll like the
full program even better.
All the best for the holidays and for a healthy, happy and mechanical
music filled 1998 to all!!
