Seek Advice for Computer Purchase
By Jon Guy

I would like the advice of our computer experts about setting up a
PC that will be used to play and edit for solenoid pianos.

At present I use a '386 with Pro-Audio-16 sound card, but this machine
is used for other things also and I want to buy a new computer
dedicated for MIDI. I seems I am always out of ports, slots, interrupts
and patience.

The program I have used in the past is Midisoft Recording Session.
I now have Cakewalk and Midiscan. I want to input from MIDI
instruments (keyboard-drums).

I would like to know the best set-up within $4000-5000 range.
