We are looking for a gentleman by the name of Dr. David Cope. He
apparently has developed a system that will read sheet music, then
compose a song in that same style, and print the sheet music. We know
he is in the Silicon Valley area, and teaches college. He apparently
has given concerts in the area of the music produced by his system.
Has anyone met the gentleman, or know how to get in contact with him?
If you do, please e-mail me or phone 1-800-247-6557 and ask for me.
Thank you!

[ Ann is our member resident at QRS Music Inc. The big clue is
[ 'compose a song in that same style'. Someone recently told me of
[ of renewed research at Stanford University, applying Artificial
[ Intelligence to composition. Twenty years ago a computer was
[ creating music which sounded "like Chopin Etudes, but without any
[ inspiration!" I suspect that Dr. Cope is one of the researchers who
[ recently had the computer generating ersatz Bach. Anyone know more?
[ (Maybe it can generate Max Kortlander arrangements from the sheet
[ music! :) -- Robbie
