My Gasparini trumpet organ was missing one trumpet resonator, so I
consulted the WWW and various music industry publications. Few brass
instrument shops want to take on this type of work, it seems, but I
finally found Kanstul Music near Anaheim, California (recommended by
a shop in England via the Internet!).
I sent them a matching resonator (luckily, the trumpets are
symmetrical), and today I received the copy. It only took them about 3
weeks. The new trumpet is a nice match, even though it has a rather
complex bend. It has a "brushed" finish, but my brass polisher says
he can make it shiny.
For those interested, the email address of Kanstul Musical Instruments
is: Kanstulmus@aol.com. I spoke to Janine Q. Nguyen. The cost, by
the way, was $300. Glad I didn't need the set!
