Teresa Brewer & "Put Another Nickel In"

I'm not sure of the spelling of her first name, but she is from Toledo,
Ohio, and was known affectionately as the "Toledo Squeaker" for part of
her career.  I don't recall her real name but she was proud of being a
housewife in Toledo.  She was a really nice person when I met her so
long ago.

I wonder if you might have been thinking of Petula Clark who was from
England.
