Hi all, I went to an auction near Gloucester in the UK with great
excitement as there was reportedly a very rare beast in the sale.
It was an upright Piano Melodico, coin operated. It was in a case of
about 6 feet in height and looked like a typical Polyphon cabinet.
However, here is the bad news. It was empty. There were several books
of music in the base and a couple of bits including the big spring
motor, but no piano frame or even a back to the case. The case was
quite nice. In the end, I couldn't be bothered staying to see what it
fetched so I left Gloucestershire empty-handed.
