I started an unintentional thread when I threatened to change my e-mail
address to escape the "10 e-mails of filth" each day. Many folks --
Larry, Bea, Bob -- responded to say, "Good luck -- You can not
escape!!!"
I even sent an E-mail to Steve Case, the President of AOL and
complained for the 100th time. I received "form letter #46" which
suggested I checkout the latest "controls" available to AOL users.
To make a sad story shorter, I now have the account, "RCCXX@AOL.COM",
set up so only incoming addresses that I recognize will get through.
When I tried to drop this account, I was reminded that this was my
"master account" . If changed, all the other screen names would be
lost as well, including our business account. That would really mess
up our web page.
So RCCXX@AOL.COM will remain our primary communications account for
those that are not filtered out. And, of course, MMD retains their
"key to the door". Jody, would you please switch me back to the RCCXX
account??
Not one piece of spam in four days -- wonderful!!
With best regards to all,

[ Folks who send messages to USENET and news groups should estab-
[ lish a special e-mail account for those activities, because that's
[ where the search engines find your address. I use my 'foxtail'
[ account only with MMD and friends, and so I haven't yet been
[ bothered by junk e-mail. (Wish me luck! ;) -- Robbie
