Steve Goodman asks about Bacigalupo shipping records. Alan Mueller
phoned me last night about things Wurlitzer and he mentioned that the
Bacigalupos (or Bacigalupis?) were in the phonograph record business
using Edision cylinders in the early days. While I didn't assimilate
everything, it is obvious that Alan knows more about the family than
I do. Stevbe might phone Alan at 716-663-1706.
I am going to look at old California phone books and city directories
and try to pinpoint the family business and the name(s) they used, as
a first step in trying to locate any living descendants. I'll share
what I find here.
Preliminarily I looked up Bacigalupo in a web white pages directory and
in an online email directory. Restricting searches to California, I
found 19 phone numbers and 2 email addresses for that spelling of the
name. But searching Bacigalupi gave me 110 phone numbers (including 2
Peters and one P in San Francisco) and 9 email addresses. I'll start by
unashamedly sending email queries to the 11 email addresses.
