"Rosie", Eugene O'Neill's Player Piano
By Joyce Brite

Playwright Eugene O'Neill's home, Tao House, located in Danville,
California (east of San Francisco) has been restored by the National Park
Service and is open to visitors. The Nobel Prize winning playwright is
famous for plays such as "Long Day's Journey Into Night," "The Iceman
Cometh," and "Moon for the Misbegotten."

Among the collection at Tao House is his cherished player piano named
"Rosie." Reputedly, Rosie was originally from a New Orleans bordello.
Has any MMD'er visited Tao House or have any further details about
O'Neill's player piano?

[ Most of the big street organs and fairground organs in Europe bear a
[ name. (I liked "Julius", who I heard in Maastricht.) It's nice to
[ learn that a beloved pumper piano in the home can have a name, too!
