Recover Pneumatics with Pneumatic Cloth
By Don Teach

I buy my cloth from Schaff. Right now it is from Australia and is the
finest I have seen in years. Player Piano Co. also has it.

My experience with the poly's has not been a happy one. If you do use
poly cloth then make sure the hinge end of your pneumatic is done with
[linen] cloth. Poly does not seem to bear the weight of the xylophone
beaters very well and they tend to lean to the side after a few months
use. On your project remember to use hide glue that comes from a glue
pot and not a bottle.

Schaff is 1-800-74PIANO or 1-800-747-4266.
