Hi All,
I'd like to bring to the attention of all who are unaware that there
is indeed a reference book for determining the relative value of numerous
mechanical and non-mechanical instruments, music boxes, sheet music,
records and other items. The prices given (where relevant) are in two
catagories: restored and unrestored.
The book is called The Official Price Guide to Music Collectibles.
The copy I have was published by The House of Collectibles, 201
Easy 50th Street, New York, NY 10022. After calling the New York
City operator and trying the number I was given, I was referred
to Random House at 1-800-726-0600. Their hours of business are
8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
I have the Sixth Edition, published in 1986 but since I no longer
buy or sell I haven't bothered to find out if there is a more
recent edition.
Musically Aware,
John A. Tuttle (johntuttle@playercare.com)
