The first article in Digest 971008 said:

It's heart-warming to learn that the Digest was immediately missed by
many subscribers who overlooked the article.  (Maybe the subject simply
didn't catch their attention?)  Here are samples of notes we got:

> No MMD for the 8th or 9th as yet.  Have I been cut off?

> Is there a problem with the MMD or should I contact my e-mail
> service provider?

Well, I'm back, and the Digests are flowing again; an issue for each
day will arrive soon in your e-mail-boxes!   :)
