Foot-pedalled Vacuum Cleaner Piano

You're spot on there, John.  I was once called to look at a player that a
lady had had "electrified" by a local expert.  He had completely removed
the pumping pedals and fitted a domestic vacuum cleaner inside.  Yes, the
whole complete vacuum cleaner! But it didn't stop this lady enjoying her
pedalling - she demonstrated a roll, and pedalled all the way through on
the loud and soft pedals! Honest, I saw it with my own eyes.
