Hi Eugene,
You may be a long time finding rolls for your Hammond as they are very
scarce. I haven't had one here for over ten years and I don't remember
before that if I ever had any. I think what you want are Aeolian-
Hammond rolls, not Skinner. To the best of my knowledge Skinner had
nothing to do with the Hammond organ player project.
The Aeolian-Skinner rolls are reproducing pipe organ rolls that control
all the functions of a pipe organ, setting registrations, varying the
swell and great expression, as well as playing the notes. These Aeolian-
Skinner rolls are wider than the 12 to the inch Aeolian-Hammond
rolls. I still have one of two of the Aeolian-Skinner rolls but they
are extremely fragile due to the poor quality paper that Aeolian used
for their rolls. That also applies to many of their player piano and
reproducing Duo-art rolls.
I'll be glad to help you in whatever I can. I have serviced only one
of the Hammonds such as you have so don't know a whole lot about them.
A couple of years ago there was a later model Hammond player organ in
Mason, MI, about 9 miles from here, but it played 73 note 9-to-the-inch
player piano rolls. The people that had it sold it before I got back
with them and I don't know where it is now.
